The state of Kentucky is known for its coal mining, horses and moonshine, among other things. It is also well-represented in the UFO field with numerous great sighting reports.

Kentucky - 03-06-15

On March the 6th at 10:40 pm I was at the end of my security shift and was expecting relief officer to arrive in his vehicle any minute.

I went out the back door to the small guard house, which is my post, and went to my vehicle which was parked 20 feet from the door, to put my dinner bucket in the car. 

While I was walking back to the security building, a brilliant bar of light appeared to the southwest of the front of the building. It was stationary, about 1 mile away and directly over the tree line. I did not see it when I walked to the car, but it was just there when I turned around and was walking back to the guardhouse.

I went inside the guardhouse, and since the craft was to the southwest of this building and at tree top level, I could easily see it through the large front window of the guardhouse. I held up my index finger and used it to measure the width of the craft. It was almost as wide as my finger is long, which makes it about 3 inches, and about 1/4 in thick.

It was just a dazzling bar of brilliant white light hanging motionless in the dark sky right above the tree line, which borders the entry road to the plant, as it comes off the main road and past the guardhouse.

I felt a wave of terror sweep through me and for some reason felt very threatened by this object. 

Another guard was about 1/2 mile from me. He was in a vehicle doing roving patrols and we were connected by radio, base station at the guardhouse and he having a hand held unit. I contacted him by radio and asked him to look in the southwest sky, low, in front of the gatehouse security building and tell me what he saw.

Second Witness Responds

I then heard him exclaiming over the radio, OH, OH GOD, OH NO, IT’S NOT MOVING. IT’S A BAR OF LIGHT, I AM OUT OF THE SECURITY TRUCK, I HAVE TO GET BACK IN THE TRUCK AND LOCK THE DOORS NOW! 

He and I talked about 3 more minutes comparing what we were looking at when the object appeared to slightly to the north, at this time the lights slowly dimmed. Only three lights in a triangle shape were on, and 1 red light that was throbbing, best way to describe it.

Object moved slowly to the north, almost directly above me, it made no noise. And continued out of sight, We tried to take pictures with our cell phones but could not get the object to show up in the camera. The statement made by my fellow Guard was this object meant to be seen. Since it appeared almost on the same day, 1 month after I reported an object almost striking a passenger jet at this same post, I felt the wave of fear that seemed to come from the object was a threat against me for reporting the other sighting.

The second security guard on post this night was not the same person who was with me 7 Feb. which was the other sighting I have reported. It may not be connected to the other sighting, but I had to do some soul searching before I sat down and filled out this report.

This report deals with a man who is very familiar with the night skies, and finds himself seeing something unusual. The sighting or the object caused the man physical and emotional trauma.

The sighting occurred in Oregon, which is no stranger to UFO reports.

Klamath Falls, Oregon - 04-12-15

I went outside my Apartment building to smoke a cigarette. This is normal because of my fascination and love of the universe. I walked out the door and observed the entire sky from the East to West horizons. I usually look for any recognizable constellations.

At this time Orion’s Belt was about two hours or less from the West horizon. I was outside approximately fifteen minutes in which I first initially see a blink or flash from my peripheral (often how I notice them. So I studied toward the direction of Southwest, which from where I’m located is in the direction of Stukel Mountain in Oregon and Lava Beds National Monument in California. 

I saw a star-like object in the sky at about a 40-60 degree angle, and it was hovering. I was flashing the same similar colors as I had seen the night before. Yes, this is my first report of a similar object I had seen in the sky in two different nights.

I was watching this star-like object flashing its blinks lights from the sky as it started to ascend up but from my angle it would look as if it was going up, may, have been just been coming North.

Introduction

It is amazing to me that I receive so many older reports of UFO sightings. There are various reasons for this, but one of the most common is that the witnesses involved were not allowed to talk about their experience at the time of the event. Such is the case below, occurring in 1975, and only recently made public.

We are all aware that pilots are very important witnesses to the UFO experience.

Larry Jividen was piloting a T-39D Sabreliner combat trainer and utility aircraft with five Naval officer pilots on board for a special training flight. I just recently received some reports from a good friend of mine from MUFON. They may seem meaningless to some, but not to me. There is never too much evidence on a case, this one being thePhoenix Lights of 1997. This report also shows what some have overlooked or forgotten; there was more than one night of sightings.

March 13, 1997 - Reports from Paulden, Prescott and Dewey

The first call received over the UFO Hotline was from a former police officer, who called to report that he and his family had just witnessed a bizarre cluster of red lights moving very rapidly across the night sky in the vicinity of Paulden, Arizona, (approximately 30 miles north of Prescott, AZ) at about 8:16 p.m. (local time) on Thursday night, March 13, 1997.  The man who called, a rational, sober-minded and eloquent sounding person, described having witnessed with his family a very strange cluster of distinctly red-orange lights, which consisted of 4-5 red lights "in the lead," followed by a single light which appeared to be "standing back from the others." The lights in the lead gave the impression of being in a "V" formation, somewhat like a wedge or boomerang in shape.

Introduction

Called a spate or wave by investigators, this occurs when there are numerous sighting reports within a given geographical region or time span. The sightings listed below occurred in Washington state, with one coming from neighbor Oregon. Sightings Spanned April 22 to May 11, 2014

From between approximately 2120 hrs. and 2130 hrs. (Pacific Daylight Time), one or more objects, variously described as a blue-green sphere, an oval of blue-green light, or a disc with six lights on it, was reported from multiple points throughout western Washington State. 

The object was reported to change direction of flight on at least three occasions, to execute a rolling maneuver on at least one occasion, to come to an almost complete stop in two locations, to reverse its general course of travel from south to north, and to change its appearance, including its color, on at least two occasions.

Early Research:

Between 1991 and 1994, He was posted to a division called Secretariat (Air Staff) and was given the job of researching and investigating the UFO phenomenon, mirroring the work done in the U.S. by the now defunct Project Blue Book. Although most of the cases could be explained as misidentifications of known objects and phenomena, a hard core of sightings defied any conventional explanation.

Peter Davenport, Director of the National UFO Reporting Center since July 1994, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, where he lived to the age of 14. He received his undergraduate education at Stanford University in California, where he earned bachelor's degrees in both Russian and biology, as well as a translator's certificate in Russian translation.

Education:

Peter's graduate education was completed at the University of Washington in Seattle, where he earned an M.S. degree in the genetics and biochemistry of fish from the College of Fisheries, as well as an M.B.A. degree in finance and international business from the Graduate School of Business.

Stanton T. Friedman received BSc and MSc degrees in physics from the University of Chicago in 1955 and 1956. He was employed for 14 years as a nuclear physicist for such companies as GE, GM, Westinghouse, TRW Systems, Aerojet General Nucleonics, and McDonnell Douglas on such advanced, classified, eventually cancelled, projects as nuclear aircraft, fission and fusion rockets, and nuclear powerplants for space.

Lecture History:

Since 1967 he has lectured on the topic "Flying Saucers ARE Real!" at more than 600 colleges and over 100 professional groups in 50 states, 9 provinces, 13 other countries. He has published more than 80 UFO papers and appeared on hundreds of radio and TV programs.

Early Career:

Dr. J. Allen Hynek, often called the "Father of Ufology," was professor of astronomy at Ohio State University, and later, chairman of the astronomy department at Northwestern University.

Years with Project Blue Book:

In the 1950's and 1960's he was an astronomical consultant to the U. S. Government's "Project Blue Book." Hynek soon found that the Air Force's main course of action was to debunk UFO sightings, irregardless of the evidence.

Scottsboro, Alabama - 1981

In April of 1981, my fiancee and I had accompanied her parents to visit her brother and family in Scottsboro, Alabama. I drove the entire distance in her father's car, (at that time) a late model Olds Cutlass coupe. We had been visiting and talking into the night and I had a beer or two.

It began to get late and my fiancee (now wife, Anna, of over 33 years) and I were to go stay with her brother's in-laws in town. Her brother lived in a log home on a peninsula into the back waters and main channel of the Tennessee River, at Roseberry Creek. It was populated, with some street lights, but not many.
