High Powered Panelist To Discuss UFOs At American University

Panel discussion at America University - Nov 12, 2014
Join us for a special American University panel discussion: UFOs: Encounters by Generals, Pilots, and Government Officials. The panel discussion is based on Professor John Weiskopf's Honors Colloquium Alien Contact: Science and Science Fiction and will feature four prominent national figures.

The panel (see below) at American University will be held on November 12, 2014 from 7:30 – 10 pm. The event will be free and open to the public.

Colonel Charles I. Halt (Panelist) is a retired United States Air Force colonel and former Base Commander of RAF Bentwaters in Suffolk County, England. In December 1980, while Halt was Deputy Base Commander, he witnessed the famous UFO-Rendlesham Forest incident. Colonel Halt has appeared on Discovery, the History Channel, and has spoken at international conventions.

Thomas J. Carey (Panelist) is an author and researcher. He began investigating the Roswell Incident in 1991. He co-authoredWitness to Roswell: Unmasking the 60-Year Cover-Up, which was the bestselling UFO book in 2007 and 2008. His newest book is titled Inside the Real Area 51. 

Dr. Richard F. Haines (Panelist) is the co-founder of NARCAP (National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena). Dr. Haines worked as a researcher at NASA from 1967-1986. From 1986-88, he served as Chief for Space Human Factors Office at NASA's Ames Research Center. 

Leslie Kean (Panelist) is an investigative journalist and co-founder of the Coalition for Freedom of Information. She is the author of New York Times bestseller UFOs: Generals, Pilots and Government Officials Go On the Record. In 2011, she helped produce a feature documentary for the History Channel called Secret Access: UFOS on the Record based upon her book. 

Miles O'Brien (Moderator) is an independent journalist and previously worked as a CNN journalist, PBS producer, and correspondent. He has won six Emmy Awards, a Peabody, and the DuPont.
