Letter: The government knows more about UFOs than it’s letting on

Re: “Report compiles 25 years of UFO sightings” (Gazette, Aug. 16)

My father served as a medic in the Second World War and spoke directly with Air Force pilots returning from missions over Germany, where they stated that they were closely followed by “disc shaped” aircraft there and back that were being called then the “Foo-Fighters.” These craft never fired upon the RAF planes, however. These pilots were later told to say nothing of these incidents.

My uncle stationed at an airbase just after the war told me that a “Flying Saucer” was hovering over the base in a clear blue sky. Some personnel took photographs and the cameras were later confiscated. Spitfires were sent up after the object, but couldn’t catch it. These objects, whatever they were, were under intelligent control and the government knows more than it’s letting on.
