Strange
Objects in Sky Stun UFO Skeptic

A EUMUNDI man
has been left baffled after glimpsing "strange" flying objects in the
night sky.
Self-confessed
UFO sceptic George Lyell was driving home to Eumundi on the Sunshine Motorway
on Saturday night.
He had just
passed the Maroochydore bridge when he said he saw something at 8.40pm that
stopped him in his tracks.
"I saw
three extremely bright lights drop down in the western sky. They seemed to slow
down rapidly and then dramatically changed direction - they went east," he
said.
"The two
lead lights were fairly close together and the third light was trailing them by
some distance.
"The
first light accelerated and just vanished, followed by the second.
"They all
disappeared at roughly about the same point."
While not
wanting to be labelled as "crazy", Mr Lyell said he was at a loss as
to the identity of the objects, which he described as "balls of
light".
Mr Lyell said
he estimated the objects disappeared between Twin Waters and Mt Coolum.
While he
acknowledged the lights were in the vicinity of the Sunshine Coast Airport, the
51-year-old man, who said he had a military background, said he did not believe
the objects were aircraft, as they lacked navigation lights.
"The way
they moved, it was not right," he said.
"I've
seen some unusual things but nothing like this."
When Mr Lyell
pulled over to watch the objects he captured some photos and video footage on
his camera.
"I had a
look at the images when I got back and they're clearly not aircraft, they're
like a ball of light, if you zoom in," he said.
In April, a
commercial pilot with more than 30 years' experience had been left scratching
his head over mysterious lights he saw over Caloundra.
